Join the East Asian Studies program as we welcome Izumi Mochizuki Greubel, author of A Promise to Live For, the true story of her mother’s childhood journey from northeast China to her hometown in Japan. At just 10 years old, Iku Mochizuki and her 6 year old brother traveled 340 miles alone, mostly on foot. Open to all. JCU Day of Giving

JCU’s Day of Giving is here! This 1,886-minute online fundraising event begins at 4:33 p.m. on April 29th and ends at 11:59 p.m. on April 30th, 2019. The duration of the event was chosen to honor John Carroll’s founding in 1886 and to give the entire JCU community across every time zone the opportunity to participate. The goal is to rally at least 500 donors, to any designation, during this time period. Visit giveto.jcu.edu and click “Give Now” to support the campaign and promote your gift using #GiveLikeAFounder. Stop by Keller Commons between 11:00 am – 2:00 pm on April 30th to participate in Day of Giving festivities.

Support the Jamaica Immersion at Chipotle

Join us from 4pm – 8pm on Monday, April 29 at the Chipotle on Cedar Road (by Panera) to support the JCU Immersion Group who traveled to Jamaica this past January! Be sure to bring a flyer (either in person or on your smartphone) or simply tell the cashier you are there to support the Jamaica Immersion. Today: Blue Streak Ball Out

Come ball out on spring semester at the Blue Streak Ball Out basketball festival, Sunday April 28 from 12:00pm-5:00pm! Activities include a 3v3 tournament, knock-out, and a 3-point contest. This event benefits the Greater Cleveland Food Bank and for every $1 you contribute, 4 meals are provided to Northeast Ohio residents in need.
